- Planet Award goes to "Invisible Strings" (Bulgaria) by Antoni Krastev and Borislav Karamelski

- Views Award goes to "7.83 Hz" (Italy) directed by Theo Putzu.

- "Special Golden Sun" to raise awareness through the cinema for "Eating Animals" (USA) by Christopher Dillon Quinn.

- "Golden Sun" posthumously goes to the Canadian filmmaker and activist Rob Stewart for his work to raise awareness about the brutal shark industry.

- FICMA-WWF Scholarship Screening of the short film winner of last year "The Guardian of the turtles

In January 2019 FICMA goes to Vitoria Gasteiz to make its 16th. Exhibition
