Mi valle tells the story of the Riaño swamp in Leon, 30 years after the traumatic eviction. The creators revive those unforgettable memories delicately and emotively for us all through testimonies, photos and video taken at the time and images of the current state of the area.
It is a project with many voices that spends 75 minutes reflecting the voices of farmers, irrigators, environmentalists and government representatives. It draws on pages retrieved from the rivers of ink that emerged from the Riaño swamp, as well as a great deal of unreleased amateur video footage that captures the moments when the towns were demolished, unbeknownst to the people who were.
