Paolo Marinelli - 2017 - Italy - 41' 20''

This documentary is aimed at everyone interested in environmental conservation, including students, politicians, university professors and even researchers. The conservation theory explained in university classrooms often fails to take into account the situation on the ground, as well as the complex institutional and human relations that must be created to carry out a project to conserve a species and consequently an ecosystem.
Thus, we follow the life of Gary Carlín Ochoa, a young researcher at University of Veracruz who not only works to feed his family, but is dedicated to conserving an endangered spider monkey subspecies in the Chinantla ecoregion.

Screening: Facultat de Comunicació Universitat Pompeu Fabra - 03/11 – 7 p.m.
