PRODUCING FILMS IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY
Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) must be adopted by all sectors of society to face climate change. Audiovisual productions must also be adapted to this environmentally friendly approach.
The Workshop "Producing Films in a Sustainable Way" will present ways film production can become more sustainable showing real and practical examples.
The Workshop - aimed at professionals of the audiovisual sector - will examine filming in a global and concrete way, department by department, to identify areas for action and improvement. It will present the figure of the eco-assistant, it will show examples of sustainability assessments and it will explain how to calculate the environmental impact of a film.
The goal is that at the end of the day, the participants know and internalize different resources to make audiovisual productions more sustainable and so will develop a critical attitude towards the current ways of filming, which mostly have a high environmental impact. This learning will allow them to develop and manage sustainable solutions in their next audiovisual works.
